Volunteers Are A Special Breed!
Thank you for wanting to share your time and love with the animals in the care of the Nevada SPCA. We take pride in helping heal broken bones and broken hearts. We can't do that without the help of our volunteers. Nevada SPCA volunteers truly make a difference through enriching our animal's time at the shelter with daily activities, socialization and walks.
Many who are new to animal rescue begin helping with projects outside of the facility. Like helping with off site Nevada SPCA events, sew scarves for the animals' web portraits, make small quilts and animal beds, organize supply & donation drives, and more.
To begin your journey with us please submit a Volunteer Application!
Once your application is approved, you will be able to sign up for the New Volunteer Orientation to see how your skills and interests can help us!!
We wil be happy to help you find a niche here at the sanctuary, matching our needs with your skills and interests. Volunteer opportunities are wide-ranging and include the following:
- Brush cats
- Groom, bathe dogs
- Assist at adoption events
- Table at community events
- Socialize Animals
- Walk dogs
- Improve the sanctuary
- Help clean animal habitats
Volunteers need to be at least 18 years of age, due to insurance liability.
All volunteers must sign a General Release and our Volunteer Code of Conduct before volunteering at The Nevada SPCA
Underage volunteers can help by planning donation drives, sharing our posts on our social media sites or making animal toys or blankets.
Thank you very much for your interest in helping us save animals' lives!
