Please Excuse The Construction
Building and property improvements, and the erection of new structures, continues for months to come.
We ask for your patience and flexibility visiting Nevada SPCA. Regular adoption hours, as well as our usual rescue and foster work, will continue interrupted through the many weeks of construction.
The project occurring right now will expand and improve the parking areas at Nevada SPCA. (Most of the trees being removed from the front of the facility are being kept alive so they can return to the interior parks and plazas around the new dog kennels.)
A new roof over the enormous structure encompassing the lobby and cat condo free-roaming playrooms is next, followed by new flooring.
The ground-breaking for the new structures is scheduled for February. These will include new nurseries for baby animals, new dog kennels, a hero corridor to showcase dogs with advanced physical and emotional challenges, glass-walled cat playrooms for rehabilitating cats, and a conservatory for dog meetings with visitors.
Once the new structures are completed and the move-in is achieved, the old dog kennel structures will be demolished to make room for the parks and plazas mentioned above. They will feature walking paths, shaded greeting areas, agility equipment, splash pads and other water features, and dog introductions areas.
Thank you very much to the exceptionally generous donors making these expansion and renovation efforts possible, further transforming Nevada SPCA No-Kill Animal Shelter into a large-scale animal rescue, rehabilitation and adoption center!
